SPA MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced and professional Spa Manager to join our award-winning team at Stobo Castle Health Spa.

Nestled in the beautiful Scottish Borders countryside near Peebles, Stobo Castle is Scotland’s only destination spa, renowned for delivering exceptional wellness experiences in a luxurious and tranquil setting.

As Spa Manager, you will lead and inspire our Spa team, working closely with senior management to uphold and continuously elevate our standards of excellence. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for ensuring an outstanding guest journey while driving commercial performance and team development.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide strong leadership to the Spa department, fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
Deliver an exceptional guest experience at every touchpoint, consistently exceeding expectations.
Drive revenue and maximise sales opportunities across treatments, retail, and services.
Oversee rota planning and diary management to optimise resources and meet business demand.
Lead all aspects of recruitment, training, and performance management.
Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and all operational procedures.
Develop and mentor team members, maintaining high levels of professional skill and knowledge.
Manage departmental financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, stock control, and reporting.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and business partners.
Maintain outstanding operational standards, embracing industry trends and innovations.
Collaborate with Directors and Heads of Department to achieve wider business objectives and support company growth.

Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Spa Manager within a luxury spa or hospitality environment.
Previous spa therapist experience is highly desirable.
A natural leader with the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a large team.
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service and wellness experiences.
Highly organised with strong planning and multitasking abilities.
Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and driving performance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Professional, positive, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of pride in your work.
