Maintenance Technician

We are looking for an experienced, professional Maintenance Technician to join our award-winning team at Stobo Castle Health Spa.

Stobo Castle Health Spa is a family-run business nestled among the beautiful Scottish Borders countryside, located just outside the town of Peebles.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a member of the Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance and repair work to ensure the smooth running of the facilities.

Be forward thinking and plan for preventive maintenance.

Have strong communication and organisational skills – able to prioritise accordingly.

Be flexible and willing with a positive, can-do attitude.

Have basic knowledge of plumbing, electrics, and HVAC.

Display solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks.

Your role will include:

Day to day maintenance of leisure facilities, swimming pool and associated pool plant equipment (certified training can be provided for pool plant operations).

Carrying out general maintenance and minor repair work – including plumbing, electrical, joinery and mechanical systems.

Ensuring Health and Safety standards are met at all times.

Prioritising and responding promptly to any maintenance requests or emergencies and addressing them in a timely and efficient manner.

Undertaking regular, daily safety checks (including fire alarm and emergency lighting).

The position will require you to work independently as well as part of a small team and be able to coordinate with other departments and external contractors.

Working collaboratively and courteously within our destination spa environment – interacting with guests with a warm, positive, and professional attitude.

Assist with ‘out of hours’ and emergency call outs, as required.
