Stay energised throughout your stay by working out with the latest LifeFitness equipment in our gym or take advantage of our fitness options below including 1-to-1 yoga, pilates and more.

The Swimming Pool

Scotland’s only 25m ozone treated swimming pool with spectacular views across the Scottish countryside. Guests can choose to swim at their leisure or take part in our daily aqua-based classes and regular swimfit classes. Poolside loungers are also available.

The Exercise Studio


Our mirrored exercise studio looks out over the eagle sculpture and countryside. There is a wide and varied programme of complimentary fitness classes on offer, e.g. kettlebells, spirals, spin, chiball, yoga, pilates and also insanity.

The Gymnasium

The gymnasium offers 13 pieces of brand new, top-of-the-range equipment supplied by gym experts LifeFitness. Guests can enjoy features such as “Lifescape” – this replicates an authentic, outdoor experience from around the world.

The gym is open from 7am – 10pm. Training shoes and suitable clothing must be worn in the gym and exercise studio.

Tennis Court

Our fantastic floodlit tennis court, painted in Wimbledon green, sits below the main entrance of Stobo Castle. With spectacular views of the Scottish Borders countryside – it is the ideal location for a leisurely match of tennis with your companion.

Stobo Walks

Our long walks take place in all weathers and suitable footwear and outdoor clothing should be worn.

The Stobo Walk – A brisk 3 mile walk into Stobo’s beautiful countryside, accompanied by an instructor is recommended.

The Light Walk – A gentle stroll down and around the breathtaking Japanese Gardens, with or without an instructor.

Cycling Around Stobo

For those who enjoy the great outdoors, we provide Kona mountain bikes so you can enjoy the countryside of the Scottish Borders at your leisure.
